The Flight of the Hummingbird

March 18 to March 22

An enchanting new opera for the whole family. The animals of the forest are inspired to come together by Dukdukdiya, the Hummingbird, to save their beautiful home from a raging fire.

Set in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and along the Highway of Tears, Missing gives voice, in English and Gitksan, to the story of missing and murdered Indigenous women.
Missing made its world première in 2017 and was remounted in November 2019 for performances in Victoria, Regina, and Prince George.

Opera Etc.

Opera Etc is everything we do OFF THE STAGE to help opera come alive. Opera Etc is a medley of concerts, discussions, films, hands-on experiences, and more. It is Pacific Opera’s invitation to you to discover, learn, and enjoy. You may not figure out the meaning of life, but you will find new ways to explore art in the context of the world in which we live.
