Join us for mezzo-soprano Megan Latham’s My 3 C’s: Copland, Cancionnes, & Corona. Known for her warm, earthy voice, Megan will share an evening of songs that weave through a musical journey celebrating honesty, angst, and humour.

Whether you are seeking nostalgia for the past, feeling frustration with the present, or striving to experience positivity for the future, an hour together with heart-lifting music and fellow opera lovers will remind you that we really are living through this crazy thing called life together.

Megan Latham

Megan Latham made her Pacific Opera Victoria debut as Eduige in the 2010 production of Handel’s Rodelinda, with return appearances as Mistress Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff, Third Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and Flora in Verdi’s La traviata. In 2019 she took on three roles in Puccini’s Il trittico: La Frugola in Il tabarro, the Princess in Suor Angelica, and Zita in Gianni Schicchi.

Megan’s 2019/20 season also included an appearance as the mezzo soloist in the Victoria Symphony’s Beethoven 250 Festival performance of the Ninth Symphony.

Her 2018/19 season included Gertrude in Roméo et Juliette for Calgary Opera and a return to Edmonton Opera for her role debut as Ragonde in Le comte Ory. During the 2017/18 season, Megan appeared as Giovanna in Rigoletto and the Fortune Teller in Arabella for the Canadian Opera Company, returned to Vancouver Opera to sing Filippyevna in Eugene Onegin, made her company debut with Opéra de Québec as Second Lady in Die Zauberflöte, and joined the Victoria Symphony for Verdi’s Requiem. Her 2016/2017 season included Emilia in Otello for Vancouver Opera.
