Isaac Thomas is the Executive Director of the Belfry Theatre and joined the Pacific Opera Victoria Board in 2024. Previously, he was managing director of Native Earth Performing Arts for a decade, Drama School Director at Young People’s Theatre, and prior to that a stage manager. He has occasionally moonlighted as a dramaturg and performer.

Isaac is a founding member of Rising Tides – a national initiative for the advancement of racialized arts administrators. He sits on the steering committees for both Rising Tides and its offshoot Connected Currents. In the past, Isaac has sat on the boards of the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts, Cahoots Theatre, Toronto Association of Acting Studios, and Theatre Ontario’s Youth Theatre Training Program.

He is an emigrant from Delhi and has several underutilized degrees in, variously, literature, acting, and education.
