Discover the magic of the Royal Theatre this Family Day with Pacific Opera Victoria and the Victoria Symphony! From 12–3pm on Monday, February 17 families are invited to a free open house filled with creativity, music, and behind-the-scenes exploration.
Immerse yourself in the world of opera and symphony with hands-on activity stations in the lobby, featuring sets, costumes, and props from beloved productions like The Cunning Little Vixen, The Garden of Alice, The Birds, and The Little Prince. Make your own crown with Kaleidoscope Theatre, fashion-up some fox headbands, interact with giant bird puppets, or try out a musical instrument at VS’s Instrument Petting Zoo.
Pop-up performances will delight audiences at 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm, and Artistic Director Brenna Corner will lead engaging backstage tours at 1pm and 2pm. Explore the theatre’s inner workings, step onto the stage, and gain unique insights into the current set of The Little Prince.
The day begins with opening remarks at 12:15pm, but feel free to come and go as you please throughout the event. Don’t miss this chance to share an unforgettable artistic experience with your family.
