Open Air | A Summer Festival of Music
What to Expect & Ticket Info
All of us at Victoria Symphony and Pacific Opera are thrilled to share music with you in person! We want to ensure your safety, best health, and highest comfort.
Please feel free to review our COVID-19 safety protocols prior to attending the concert.
Getting There: Stages & Tickets*
With two stages and pop up performances through the fields, meadows, and orchards, there’s something for everyone all of the time.
Tickets for our two main stages are $35 ($15 for students & under 30, and specially curated Pay-What-You-Will Family Programming). There is limited capacity, and tickets are available to purchase in advance until the midnight before the show. Remaining tickets will be available to purchase on site on the day of performance. Please be sure to purchase as many tickets as you would like seated together in the same ticket order. To keep all of our guests comfortable, each “seating pod” will be socially distanced from the rest of the audience. Please note that no tickets will will be printed. Your names will be added to the check-in list handled by the staff at each stage.
Free community programing will be popping up intermittently during all festival hours, with many available by QR codes found around site for you to enjoy at your leisure.
Refunds and exchanges will be offered until ONE HOUR before each program, if you are feeling unwell, we ask that you not attend and contact us to arrange a refund or tickets to a future program. Unfortunately we will not be able to refund or exchange any tickets after ONE HOUR before the program.
*By purchasing tickets you acknowledge the risk of attending a live performance and will not hold Pacific Opera Victoria or the Victoria Symphony accountable for any risk assumed or the consequences thereof.
On Site: Apparel & Arrival
You and your loved ones are welcome to join us onsite during festival hours for free programming at your leisure!
Come for comfort and safety. As the entire festival is under the open sky, we ask that you please make proper provisions for attending an outdoor performance, and offer the following suggestions:
- dress in layers
- bring your hat, sunglasses, shawl or parasol, and a water bottle
- there will be a limited supply of blankets on sale
If you are attending one of our ticketed stages, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the performance, which is when we will be able to allow you access to your seats. There will be staff at the door with a guestlist with your name on it who will welcome you into the venue, we are not printing physical tickets at this time. If possible, please arrive with your full party at the same time, for ease of seating.
Masks are now optional in BC. To ensure everyone’s comfort, staff will be wearing our best summer fashion masks whenever actively assisting at tents or hosting guests, and we hope you’ll join us! At this time, we ask that you please wear a mask when you checking in or walking to and from your seats.
Safety: Taking Care of Ourselves & Each Other
This is new (again) for all of us, so let’s “air” (err) on the side of caution when interacting with others to increase everyone’s comfort and enjoyment!
If you are feeling unwell on the morning of the performance please contact us to arrange tickets for a future performance. We will issue refunds or exchanges up and until ONE HOUR prior to performances.
To keep everyone feeling comfortable, your seat will be in a “seating pod” with only the other seats in your order. Each “seating pod” will be socially distanced from the rest of the audience.
Help yourself to a complimentary dose of hand sanitizer at any tent point on site.
And please stay a respectful distance from anyone who is not in your party/household. We recommend the previously prescribed 2 meters.
Any updates to safety plans and procedures will be available online one week before the festival, and circulated at that time to any active ticket holders.
Food & Drinks
We encourage you to bring a picnic to enjoy on the beautiful grounds before or after your show, however food is not allowed in the concert venues. Thank you for understanding!
Thank you for bringing back live music with us!
