Aaron Davis

Aaron Davis is an eclectic composer, arranger and pianist. He is the composer of the “Zombie Blizzard” song cycle, where Aaron set poems by Margaret Atwood to music, arranged for the Hannaford St. Silver Band, rhythm section and soprano Measha Breuggergosman-Lee. Aaron and Measha have collaborated on various musical projects over the last 20 years including recording 4 CD’s that they co-produced, and performances with symphonies and ensembles around the world.

He was a founder and composer for the world-beat band Manteca. He is a founding member of the Holly Cole Trio, playing and recording with Holly since 1986. Aaron has composed film scores for over 120 movies and has done orchestral and chamber arrangements for many artists, including the Art Of Time Ensemble, Natalie McMaster, the Hannaford St. Silver Band, the Canadian Brass, and the Iseler Singers. Aaron has also released 3 CD’s of his own compositions. He is the recipient of 2 Juno Awards, 2 Gemini awards and numerous Genie and Gemini award nominations.
