Castor Angus

Castor currently resides on the land of the Songhees and Esquimalt nation (Victoria). Castor has worked in Theatre for the past couple of years. Currently Castor is working with Pacific Opera Victoria as an Apprentice Stage Manager in La Clemenza di Tito. Earlier this year, Castor worked with Savage Society as their Apprentice Stage Manager on their touring show, You used to Call Me Marie… 

Castor brings a wealth of experience in the theatre and opera scene, having worked on productions like Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Birds. In the latest phase of his career, he is supported by a grant from the BC Arts Council to work as an Arts Administrative Assistant at Pacific Opera Victoria for 2024.

Outside of theatre, Castor has started working more in live events having worked on RIfflandia, Phillips Festival and more. Outside of the hustle and bustle of the backstage, you can find Castor writing away on his laptop. As a writer, Castor caters to a younger audience, with his book about bears in Alaska designed for middle school and high school readers. Castor recently participated in Audible’s Indigenous Writing Circle, where he had the privilege of being mentored by Renulta Arluk. Embracing a journey filled with creativity and dedication, Castor continues to leave his mark both behind the scenes and on the literary stage.
