Civic Artist, Music Alive Quartet

Charlotte Siegel is a soprano from Toronto, Ontario. She holds a Master’s in Opera and Voice from McGill University, studying with Dominique Labelle, and John Mac Master. She also holds a Bachelors of Classical Voice Performance from the University of Toronto where she studied under Frédérique Vézina. Currently, she is completing a Graduate Diploma in Opera and Voice at McGill University. Charlotte recently placed 3rd in the Canadian Opera Company’s Ensemble Studio Competition, and was a finalist in the Atelier Lyrique National Auditions (Opèra de Montréal). She recently performed the roles of Rose Maurrant (Street Scene), Nancy (Albert Herring), Elle (Knoxville: Summer of 1915), and covered Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) with Opera McGill. Other role highlights include Micaëla (Carmen) with Summer Opera Lyric Theatre, and Mère Marie (Dialogues des Carmélites) with Opera McGill. In 2018 Charlotte attended the Chautauqua Institute Voice Program run by Marlena Malas. In July 2016, she completed the Bel Canto Opera Program in Munich, Germany, where she sang Mozart excerpts including Countess (Le Nozze di Figaro) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni). Upcoming performances include Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, and a recital of duets.
