Collette Berg
For well over a decade, Collette has worked extensively in opera, musical theatre, and events. She holds credits with companies including Vancouver Opera (The Barber of Seville, The Merry Widow, Faust, Eugene Onegin, Rigoletto, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, The Magic Flute, La bohème, etc.) City Opera Vancouver (Song from the Uproar, Nigredo Hotel, Curlew River), Burnaby Lyric Opera (The Marriage of Figaro, Carmen, Madama Butterfly, Pagliacci, Gianni Schicchi), Fraser Lyric Opera (The Barber of Seville), UBC Opera (over two dozen productions, including Shadow Catch, The Marriage of Figaro, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, La Traviata, The Cunning Little Vixen, The Tales of Hoffman, Rusalka, etc.), URP Event Production (American Idiot, Jesus Christ Superstar, RENT, etc.), Theatre Under the Stars (We Will Rock You, Newsies, 42nd Street), Mirvish Productions (Boy Falls From the Sky), and now Pacific Opera Victoria (Tosca). Collette holds a BFA from UBC, where she has also served on faculty, and she co-runs URP Event Production (www.urp.ca) with her husband, Richard. While Vancouver will always be “home,” Collette has been spending most of her time lately in San Francisco, where she is a stage manager with San Francisco Opera (The Monkey King, Parsifal, Rigoletto, La bohème, Idomeneo, Tristan und Isolde, The Handmaid’s Tale, Partenope, The Magic Flute, Omar, Lohengrin, Il Trovatore, Die Frau ohne Schatten, Madama Butterfly, Orfeo ed Euridice, Dialogues des Carlmélites, Eugene Onegin, and Antony and Cleopatra).
