Dominique Guindon

Costume Designer

Dominique Guindon is a graduate with a degree in Fashion Design from Lasalle College (1996) and a BFA in Design for the theatre from Concordia University (1999). Dedicated herself to opera for the past 16 years, she has been the head of the Opera de Montreal’s costume workshop, supervising over 60 productions. Among her notable revisited productions are Le Barbier de Séville (2014), Madame Butterfly (2015), Aïda (2016), La Bohème (2018), Roméo & Juliette (2018) and Lucia di Lammermoor (2019). Dominique inaugural operatic creation was Faust (2012), she also created Samson et Dalila (2015), Élektra (2015), Le Dialogue des Carmélites (2017) and conceived her first Carmen (2019). Following the passing of François Barbeau, a prominent Quebec theatrical creator, she assumed responsibility for completing the production of Les Feluettes (2016). Now, let’s explore her latest work, Ainadamar (2023).
