Dr. Lorna Wánosts’a7 Williams OC, OBC is Líl’watul from Mount Currie, B.C. Dr. Williams is an educator, filmmaker, author, and Indigenous language expert who has devoted her life to Indigenous knowledges, education and Indigenous languages. She is Professor Emerita from the University of Victoria. She serves on Boards, consultation circles and advisory committees including Special Advisor to First People’s Cultural Foundation, Dean of Faculty of Education UVIC and OCIL.
