Often referred to as the “mother” of Pacific Opera Victoria, Jane co-founded Pacific Opera Victoria in 1979 with her husband, George, and other local supporters.  Working at the heart of the company in volunteer positions for three decades as a dynamic and committed fundraiser, producer and even as general manager for nine months, Jane served on the Pacific Opera Victoria Board as President (1987 – 1995) and went on to chair the Pacific Opera Victoria Foundation (1998 – 2007).  Through her passionate dedication, Pacific Opera Victoria garnered a reputation as one of the top opera companies in Canada.
