Mars Young

Past Shows:

Victoria-born soprano Mars Young makes their Pacific Opera Victoria debut as Miles in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw. They are a classically trained singer who has been heavily involved in local theatre productions. They have received formal voice training and performed in multiple choirs, even founding and directing their own a cappella group. Mars studies voice, acting, and guitar and plays numerous other instruments.

This role marks an exciting new chapter in their performance journey, blending their theatrical roots with the dramatic intensity of opera. Mars’ recent credits include Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Studio’s productions of 42nd Street, Anything Goes, and Sideshow, as well as Claremont Secondary’s productions of Mamma Mia, Anything Goes, SpongeBob the Musical, and The Wizard of Oz. Outside of performing, Mars is a first-year science student at the University of Victoria, spending their days studying at the library. Mars loves taking advantage of Victoria’s weather and taking walks in the rain. They love collecting vintage antiques and feel most at home on stage, sharing their love of music.
