Monica Arthurs has been worked in many roles with Pacific Opera Victoria since 2016 as a scenic carpenter, scenic artist and props builder.  A graduate of the Fine Arts Dept. at the University of Victoria, and Vancouver Island University’s (formerly Malaspina College) Residential Building and Carpentry program Monica has been fortunate to be able to merge her two passions building sets for theatre and film.  She is excited in her role as Head Carpenter and considers it a great honour to continue to have the opportunity to work alongside the incredibly talented seasonal and casual staff at POV.

Monica’s other interests include creating stained glass and metalwork, painting, hiking and touring the province on her motorcycle.
