Pierre-Guy Lapointe debuts with Pacific Opera Victoria as costume designer for the company’s 2020 production of Bizet’s Carmen.
For more than two decades, M. Lapointe has been part of the theatrical and television landscape. As a designer, costume designer, collaborator or assistant, he has worked on over a hundred shows and on various projects for television and cinema and designed costumes for both theatre and dance.
Recent projects include Éric Assous’ L’Esprit de famille; La Vénus au vison, Match, Des héros à mourir d’ennui, (Théâtre Jean Duceppe); Of Mice and Men, La Souricière (The Mousetrap), (La Comédie Humaine); La Ville, Une vie pour deux (La chair et autres fragments de l’amour), Project Andromaque, Un tramway nommé désir (Espace Go); Les choristes (Productions Juste pour rire); Edmond, Roméo et Juliette (Théâtre du Nouveau Monde).
