Stella Gislason
Stella Gislason is thrilled to make her Pacific Opera Victoria debut as the 2nd Mate in The Odyssey. Full of charm and bursting with energy, Stella is a spirited young performer who brings both heart and humor to the stage. She’ll be stepping into Grade 5 at Northridge Elementary this fall. Earlier this year, she starred as Tiger Shark in Northridge Elementary’s production of Go Fish and won first place in her school’s inaugural talent show with a moving performance of Castle on a Cloud from Les Misérables. Stella’s love of singing has led her to exciting opportunities, including performing the national anthem at the Canadian Little League Championships this summer—an especially meaningful moment, as she has been playing baseball at Layritz Little League since 2021.
In July 2024, Stella appeared as Bubbles in Finding Nemo Jr. with Triple Threat Performers. Her passion for theatre was first sparked after seeing their production of Matilda, and she has since performed in Swamped! The Musical with Kaleidoscope Theatre camp, as well as a musical revue including Oh, The Thinks You Can Think (Seussical the Musical), The Candy Man Can (Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory), and My Favorite Things (The Sound of Music). Stella has been singing with the Victoria Children’s Choir (Prelude Choir) since 2022 and is excited to join the Recital Choir this fall. She has also participated in Miss Mame’s School of Music Musical Theatre Summer Camp for the past two years and studied piano at Taber Music. A lifelong fan of the performing arts, Stella has attended countless productions by the Victoria Symphony, Pacific Opera, and Ballet Victoria since she was a baby. When she’s not on stage or at rehearsal, Stella loves gymnastics and is often spotted doing cartwheels around town!
