Tarané Noruzi is a soprano and classical musician based on Vancouver Island. Originally from Rasht, Iran, she moved to Canada in 2017 to pursue her passion for classical singing. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Victoria and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Staged Voice at UVic. Her musical work includes opera, art song, and repertoire in a variety of languages, with a particular interest in bringing Persian language and music into her artistic practice. As an Iranian Canadian artist, Tarané is deeply interested in the ways language, culture, and music can create connections between people and communities.
