Pop Up Opera returns this summer — now with Mini-Concerts!
Pacific Opera’s beloved Pop Up Opera is back, bringing the magic of live, local singers to parks, plazas, and street corners across the Capital Regional District.
This year, enjoy two ways to experience opera in the wild:
Pop Ups – Short, spontaneous 6 to 8-minute performances that surprise and delight wherever they appear. No stage, no tickets — just pure, unexpected music.
Mini-Concerts – Brand new this season! These 15-minute outdoor performances happen at set times and locations, giving you the chance to plan ahead and bring a friend. Still free. Still outside. Still unforgettable.
Whether you stumble upon a Pop Up or arrive early for a Mini-Concert, you’ll find opera that’s fresh, fun, and right where you are.
