Bass Baritone

Peter debuted with Pacific Opera in 2018 when he stepped in to sing Colline from the pit for a performance of La Bohème. He returned in 2019 as Marchese d’Obigny in La traviata, and will open the 2019/20 season as Betto di Signa in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.

Recent and upcoming credits include The Mandarin in Turandot, Antonio and the cover of Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, the father in Hansel and Gretel;  Kromow in The Merry Widow, Captain/Zaretsky in Eugene Onegin (Vancouver Opera); Peter in Company (United Players Vancouver); Don Pedro in Béatrice et Bénédict (Fraser Lyric Opera); Zuniga in Carmen and Colline (Opera Kelowna); Polyphemus in Acis and Galatea (re:Naissance Opera); Opera Chorus in the world première of Kayoi Komachi (TomoeArts); Sam in Mamma Mia and Beast in Beauty and the Beast with Theatre Under the Stars.

Peter has performed across Canada and overseas in Ireland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Cuba and China. He has sung with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Okanagan Symphony, and the Lethbridge Symphony among others.

Peter originally began his studies at the University of Lethbridge as a trumpet major but was converted to the vocal arts after being asked to sing in the chorus for the University’s production of Die Fledermaus. Peter then completed a M.Mus in Opera Performance from the University of British Columbia and graduated from the Yulanda M. Faris Young Artist program at Vancouver Opera.
