Pop Up Opera brings live music beyond the theatre and into the heart of our communities. Throughout the summer, Pacific Opera Victoria singers appear in parks, plazas, markets, and public spaces across the Capital Region, creating unexpected moments of beauty and connection.
These free performances are short, accessible, and designed to fit naturally into your day. Whether you discover a surprise Pop Up or seek out a scheduled Mini-Concert, you’ll experience opera up close, outdoors, and right where you are. Look for our signature Pop Ups—surprise 6-8 minute performances performances that appear when you least expect them—or plan your visit around one of our Mini-Concerts, featuring 15 minutes of beautiful music in the open air.
However you experience it, Pop Up Opera brings professional singers, unforgettable music, and a little unexpected joy to your day.
